Taking health benefits to the next level
HealthFlex is a wellness-driven group health plan for United Methodist Church (UMC) annual conferences and employer groups with more than 50 employees. It is offered by over 35 plan sponsors to provide health benefits and well-being programs for more than 10,000 clergy and lay participants and their families.
Having national coverage with broad provider networks makes it easier to get the care you need wherever you are. We understand this is particularly important for clergy appointment changes and relocations. We’re able to offer world-class benefits by partnering with outstanding third-party administrators for medical, prescription drug, mental and behavioral health, dental, vision and wellness benefits. Health Plan Selection
If you’re covered by Wespath’s group health plan, you may have a choice between one or more health plans offered by your plan sponsor. HealthFlex Exchange uses a premium credit (fixed dollar amount defined by each plan sponsor) which can be used toward the premium of the plan you choose. Choosing your health plan is a big decision, and Wespath provides training and decision-support tools, like ALEX Benefits Counselor, to help you compare your options.
HealthFlex offers a broad range of plan designs, including:
Tax-Advantaged Health Accounts
Tax-advantaged accounts can help you save money for health and dependent care and get reimbursed for certain out-of-pocket costs. Ask your plan sponsor about the following types of accounts that may be offered along with your HealthFlex group health plan:
Beyond providing health coverage, HealthFlex is integrated with an award-winning well-being program to help you identify health risks and improve your health. From health coaching and nutrition programs to telemedicine and work-life services, HealthFlex supports your health and quality of life. Learn more about Well-Being Programs.
